Gymnastics is the oldest and most popular sport in the Olympics. But the Indian claim in this has always been weak. Pranati Nayak will present the only challenge from India in the Tokyo Olympics 2021. in the all-round event.
She is only the second Indian female gymnast to qualify in Olympic history. Before her this feat was done by Dipa Karmakar in the 2016 Rio Olympics.

1: Asia continent got tickets from Kota.
Pranati qualified in the Tokyo Olympics 2021.on the basis of Asia continent quota. Due to the cancellation of the Asian Championships to be held from 29 May to 1 June due to Corona, he got a ticket for the Tokyo Olympics 2021. on the basis of Asian quota with Sri Lanka's Milka Ghani.
2: Practiced fiercely with the conch.
Pranati trained at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Delhi. Earlier he practiced at Sports Authority of India (SAI) Complex Kolkata. After Minara Begum's retirement in 2019, she practiced with Koch Lakhan Sharma.

Takes advice from Dipa Karmakar.
Pranati often consults Dipa Karmakar, who missed the bronze medal by a very small margin in the 2016 Rio Olympics. Pranati said, "I often take advice from Dipa Karmakar about many things. Deepa is the first Indian female gymnast to play in the Olympics.
Pranati said that I never thought that I would get a chance to participate in the Olympics. It was disappointing to have no events during Corona but now my focus is only on the best performance.
3: Pranati made a way out of poverty.
Pranati's father Shrimant Nayak, a resident of Jhargram in West Bengal, was a bus driver in the State Transport Corporation till 2017. He currently does a small job in an office. Pranati said that the life of my parents was spent in a lot of struggle. But he has helped me become an athlete and fulfill my dream.
